Toilet Repair & Replacement in Johnson County and Kansas City
A toilet that runs all night, rocks when you sit down, or leaks at the base is more than an annoyance. It can waste water and damage your floor. 913 Solutions repairs and replaces toilets in homes across Johnson County, Miami County, and the Kansas City metro.
Common toilet problems we fix
- Running toilet: usually a worn flapper, fill valve, or flush valve
- Weak or incomplete flush: clogs, mineral buildup in the rim jets, or tank parts that need adjusting
- Leak at the base: often a failed wax ring or loose closet bolts. Fix it early to protect the subfloor.
- Wobbly toilet: loose bolts, an uneven floor, or a damaged flange
- Leaks between tank and bowl, or at the supply line or shut-off valve
- Cracked tank or bowl: this needs a replacement
Repair or replace?
Most toilet problems can be fixed with new internal parts. Replacement makes sense when the porcelain is cracked, the toilet keeps clogging because of its design, or you want a different height or style. We'll tell you which way we'd go and why.
Quick check: is your toilet leaking silently?
Put a few drops of food coloring in the tank and don't flush for 15–20 minutes. If color shows up in the bowl, the flapper is leaking and the toilet is wasting water.
Hard water and toilets
Johnson County's hard water (about 7.9 grains per gallon, according to WaterOne) can leave scale on fill valves and rim jets over time. A weak flush in an older toilet is sometimes mineral buildup, not a clog.
What we do
- Toilet repair (flappers, fill valves, flush valves, handles, seals)

Frequently asked questions
Why does my toilet run by itself every so often?
That's usually a slow leak from the tank into the bowl, often a worn flapper. The tank refills to make up for it. The food-coloring test above will confirm it.
There's water around the base of my toilet. What should I do?
Turn off the shut-off valve behind the toilet, wipe the area dry, and see where the water comes back from. If it's at the base, the wax seal has probably failed. Call us before it damages the floor.
Can you install a toilet I already bought?
Yes. Let us know the model when you call.
My shut-off valve behind the toilet won't turn. Is that a problem?
It can be in an emergency. We replace stuck or leaking shut-off valves.
